Wow-today is 14 years I have been on Main St.   Like this girl in this painting I have watched the changes in town..today reminiscing with my friend Chris today, when the 300 Block was much more bustling...progress?  in many ways I say NO to many things the town emphasizes as good-I disagree......but  still..I love the Art Patrons & friends I have made here & the sweet neighbors I have Chris, Viki, Shelia, Ann,   & their family,missing Jewels from tea shop, Kay, Scott, Jodie, & many others...I say thank U Lord for all your goodness....

Will be remembering the Beautiful people-our Veterans that gave their lives & service this weekend.  An honor to talk to some today & hear their stories and family stories on those that served.  Waverly and Margaret my Marine friends who took time to visit today...thank u 4 your Service..... 

 Needed a lift today....then 3 children came in and were just going on & on much they loved my Paintings and my Painted furniture without pretense. just pure sincerity & excitement....so sweet... Thanx God!

The process of creativity...is such a mix of many ideas to result in what u want to unfold in the painting process...

This week @ my Painted Garden Gallery, I met 2 gals that over & over again said that  your Gallery "should be in Charleston SC".   They had enjoyed the colors and subject matter....hmm ...on these chilly days Charleston does sound inviting....  

I am always amazed how art effects individuals.  This past Saturday, I met two awesome gals.  Chrissy, one of the girls immediately was drawn to this painting "Faith" she just loved it.  That was my "Aha" moment, when  my artwork moves a person.  I believe each piece of Art is destined to a particular person, it draws them like a magnet.  I hope Chrissy one day will claim this painting "Faith" as  hers.  

In front of my Painted Garden Gallery, just waiting for you to sit and enjoy the 300 Block on Main.  But first- pop in to say hello and visit the Gallery.  Been away with caring for my mom in Pgh. she is doing great now-Praise God!  Anxious to work on more paintings and catch up with  all the good news with my friends and neighbors.

Gimme Shelter a great non-profit shop here in Smithfield Va that does such good for our animals here.  Gimme Shelter has helped me along with the Humane Society to rescue, fix and relocate cats.  They  are holding their first FUR Ball to benefit the animals in Isle of Wight County. Since I am such a big animal lover-especially CATS-I am donating a Vintage Hand Painted Dresser-Cottage Style for their  live Auction.  Its value is $1500.00.  I am hoping it brings a Generous amount for continue support for our animals in our Community!

Always exciting to look forward to what God has in store for us in 2014.  Here is one of my  remainder of Paintings in a series of Roses I did ...this  Painting  named Faith is presently on loan @ the Chamber Of Commerce Lobby in Smithfield.  I thought it went well paired up with the vintage cabinet with a bouquet of roses to remind us Spring is on the way....
